Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is the compassionate symbol of filial piety and gratitude, known for the Great Vow – “I will not attain Buddhahood until all the hell realms are emptied.” Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is revered for upholding filial piety, delivering all beings across the Six Realms and rescuing those in the underworld.

In the Lunar Calendar, the 30th day of the 7th Lunar Month (September 21st, 2025, in the Gregorian Calendar) marks the Auspicious Birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

In honor of this sacred day, Purple Lotus Temple will be hosting a Blessing Meditation Ceremony. We sincerely invite all devoted ones to join us for this live virtuous event. Let us bathe in the Buddha’s radiant light, cultivate good energy, and rejoice in the Dharma.

With utmost sincerity, we express our gratitude to the Bodhisattva through this ceremony. By the Buddha’s compassionate power, we dedicate the merits of this Dharma Assembly as follows:

1. To our ancestors past and present, parents, departed loved ones, and karmic creditors: May all resentments be resolved, may they transcend suffering and be reborn in the Pure Land, swiftly attaining enlightenment and Buddhahood.
2. To family and friends in this present life: May they enjoy peace and wellbeing in body and mind, be free from obstacles and disasters, enjoy abundance in blessings and wisdom, and be radiant with Light and good fortune.
3.  To our local land spirits, guardian angel protectors, and other beings connected to us: May they provide rightful protection, uplevel their own spiritual attainments, benefit all sentient beings, and swiftly attain Buddhahood
